An evolution of Panorama’s design, Diorama also features a unicoloured horizontal block stripe, which in return is complimented by subtle vertical pinstripes. These run from the middle to the bottom of the design. As light travels through the fabric, the pinstripes appear to emerge from its surface, creating a vibrant surface with optical colour blends. Fittingly, the name of the textile refers to a type of picture-viewing device of the 1800’s, which was created by painting on both sides of a transparent canvas. Almost unicoloured, the pinstripes explore perception and contrast: some combinations are bold and unexpected, while others are more tone-on-tone. Due to the weave, they can be seen from the backside of the curtain. Like Panorama, Diorama’s palette consists of earthy, subtle hues together with richer, brighter tones.
Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.
The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.Fire tests AS/NZS 1530.3 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • DIN 4102 B1 • EN 13 773 class 1 • EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0 • IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 7 • JIS L 1091 A-1 D • NF P 92 507 M1 • SN 198 898 5.2 • UNI 9177 Classe 1
There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.
If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Kinnasand are supplied bearing a maintenance label. We recommend the use of a light duty detergent without optical brighteners for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. In order to reduce the risk of allergy problems, we recommend to use washing detergents that do not contain optical bleach, perfume or colorants. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1 – 3 %. For more detailed information, we recommend contacting a professional dry cleaner and/or laundry. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
