Suite has broad 40-cm stripes that do not disappear in the folds when the curtain is draped. This ensures that the curtain offers a graphic rhythm of clear, strong stripes. Margrethe Odgaard: “I like the idea that this simple pattern comes to live when the curtain is used. The width of the stripes will vary depending on how much the curtain is draped. This creates a dynamic, musical rhythm with a shifting pace.” Unlike Panorama and Diorama, Suite’s stripes travel in the direction of the warp and therefore run vertically from ceiling to floor. The palette for the curtain brings together dark, masculine tones and warm pastels.
Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.
The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.Fire tests AS/NZS 1530.3 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • DIN 4102 B1 • EN 13 773 class 1 • EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0 • IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 7 • JIS L 1091 A-1 D • NF P 92 507 M1 • SN 198 898 5.2 • UNI 9177 Classe 1
There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.
If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Kinnasand are supplied bearing a maintenance label. We recommend the use of a light duty detergent without optical brighteners for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. In order to reduce the risk of allergy problems, we recommend to use washing detergents that do not contain optical bleach, perfume or colorants. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1 – 3 %. For more detailed information, we recommend contacting a professional dry cleaner and/or laundry. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
